PCYC is currently recruiting a Club Manager for PCYC Orange.

About the Club

The club is a vibrant, multifaceted facility consisting of a gym & fitness centre, 4 indoor multi-sport full size basketball courts, boxing, martial arts, large gymnastic program and several multipurpose spaces. The club is open to everyone, young and old from all walks of life, with the purpose of using recreation and leisure activities to improve the wellbeing of the community.

About the Role

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced sport and recreation venue manager to lead the team to deliver an exceptional member experience at this important community facility.

The Club Manager is responsible for the overall management and operations of the venue, and is accountable for the administration, operational, financial and program deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations: Manage day-to-day operations, including staff leadership, training, program coordination, quality assurance, facilities/asset management and marketing initiatives.
  • Business Growth: Execute business and operational plans to generate income growth, build customer engagement, optimise facility use and increase revenue streams.
  • Community Engagement: Increase awareness of the PCYC mission within the local community to grow memberships and generate fundraising/sponsorship opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop effective relationships with NSW Police staff, Club Committee, venue users, local businesses and the wider community.
  • Administration: Oversee rostering, forecasting, budget management, weekly/monthly performance reporting, funding/grant applications and database/records management.
  • Safety & Compliance: Provide a child safe environment and conduct scheduled WHS and operational audits

About You

We are seeking a passionate person looking to work flexible hours who meets the following criteria:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in sport and recreation venue management.
  • Business Acumen: Proven experience in business management, operational planning and/or implementing innovative business ideas.
  • Sales Drive: An eye for detail, a natural sales ability and a drive to look for every opportunity to grow the business.
  • Networking: Strong networking and relationship-building skills to establish valuable partnerships within the local community.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Qualifications: First Aid and CPR qualifications (or willingness to obtain within the first 3 months).
  • Mission Alignment: A genuine care for your community and alignment with the PCYC Mission and Values.
  • Compliance: Ability to obtain a compliant Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
