About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Services leader to join our mighty finance team as Manager, Financial Services to lead the development and delivery of the Institute’s financial strategiesIn this leadership role you will provide high quality financial advice and insights to support informed decision making at all levels of the organization. You will play a key role in ensuring that NSWIS meets its statutory financial obligations, while operating effectively within a shared services environment.

This is a full time position, attracting a salary range starting at $159,498 pa plus superannuation.  The contract period for this role is up to 31 December 2028 in line with the Olympic cycle. 

This is an identified position requiring a Working with Children Check.

About you

You will bring to our team: 

  • Extensive experience in financial and fiscal management, including the preparation and presentation of annual financial accounts, and the development of organisational budgets and forecasting.
  • Demonstrated experience providing high-level financial advice and communicating insights to senior stakeholders, with a strong ability to contribute to strategic planning and problem-solving.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, negotiation and influencing skills, with a passion for sport and industry. 
  • Sound knowledge of financial statutory obligations, computerised accounting systems, and corporate government environments.

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance.
  • CPA or membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia.
  • Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain this prior to working with us.
  • Valid Australian Working Rights.
