Adelaide University Sport and Fitness (AUSF) is looking for a motivated and energetic individual to lead the delivery of Adelaide University Rugby Club operations and support on and off field success. 

The Director of AU Rugby is responsible for the delivery of the rugby program to the Adelaide University (AU) community encompassing recruitment and retention of players, coaches and volunteers. This will require building and maintaining relationships with the AU Rugby club committee, club members and volunteers, managing the affiliation and reporting requirements to AUSF and Rugby SA and engaging the AU community in club programs and activities including intervarsity representation.

The role will also identify and deliver relevant services and programs in line with AUSF policies and procedures to support club sustainability and financial viability. In addition, the incumbent will take on a lead coaching role in the Premier / Reserves grade and position Adelaide University as a destination of choice for rugby in SA.

POSITION OBJECTIVES

• Provide relevant operational support to AU Rugby committee and members regarding AUSF and Rugby SA affiliation requirements and procedures including injury management.
• Manage the recruitment and retention of coaches, players and support staff across all levels of AU Rugby.
• Provide relevant information, guidance and training to AU Rugby committee and members regarding AUSF and Rugby SA affiliation requirements and procedures.
• Facilitate opportunities for student participation in on campus activations (social and competitive) including managing the AU representation at UniSport Nationals and intervarsity competition.
• Be an active participant within the AUSF Team and contribute positively to the inclusive and community-focussed culture at Adelaide University.

Total renumeration is $60,000 - $70,000 plus super and access to car park and gym mebership.
