If you are passionate about sport and driven to help young athletes acheive their potential, then St Peters Lutheran College would love to hear from you. 

We are seeking Expressions of Interest from enthusiastic, knowledgeable and motivated Sports Coaches interested in becoming part of our thriving sports programs and be an integral part of the positive journey our students experience. 

With over 2400 students, St Peters not only caters to a vast range of sports and activities but is an active member of the Associated Independent Colleges (AIC - Year 5-12 boys) and Queensland Girls Secondary Schools Association (QGSSSA - Year 7-12 girls) providing regular, high quality competition for our athletes. We are committed to the continual development of our programs, students and coaches.

We are looking for energetic and self-motivated coaches who are committed to developing students both on and off the field. Working within a high-performing sporting environment, you will help deliver engaging training programs, foster teamwork, and support students in achieving their sporting goals.

Coaching Opportunities:

Boys Sports                                                                          

  • Australian Rules                                     
  • Cricket (from Term 4, 2026)                   
  • Football                                                 
  • Rugby Union
  • Volleyball (from Term 4, 2026)

  Girls Sports

  • Basketball
  • Football
  • Touch Football

  Strength and Conditioning

  • Bachelor/Level 1 ASCA + 2 Years experience

About You

You are passionate about youth development, bring a positive coaching mindset, and have the ability to create an enjoyable and challenging sporting environment for students.

In addition you will require:

  • Experience coaching in your chosen sport
  • The ability to plan and deliver two training sessions each week
  • Availability to attend Friday or Saturday fixtures (sport dependent)
  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • A current Paid Blue Card
  • Accreditation at the minimum level for your chosen sport (assistance may be provided to obtain further qualifications) 
  • The ability to actively support the Christian ethos and values of the College
