Purpose of the Position
An opportunity has become available to join the 'Green Machine' as our Consumer Business Assistant. The role will see you provide essential support to the consumer business teams, which consists of Game Day, Events, Ticketing, Community, Membership and Raiders Shop operations.
Our Club hosts a number of major and minor events each season, including but not limited to 12+ home games, staff, corporate, member and fan events.
This is an incredible opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced role, in a professional environment.
Both weekday and weekend work are required, with TOIL (time off in lieu) accrued for time worked over and above normal weekly business hours.
Ideally this role will suit a tertiary graduate, or someone who has worked/volunteered in an office and/or sporting role for 1+ year. Adaptability, reliability, and exceptional organisational skills are imperative.
Qualifications/Experience/Abilities:
- Intuitive, adaptable, high attention to detail and driven to succeed
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite products
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Ability to learn CRM/Ticketing and Membership Database
Key Responsibilities
Working under the direction of the Head of Consumer Operations and Events and Head of Consumer Business and alongside the broader Consumer Business team, this person will assist wth organisationa and delivery of consumer business area tasks in the following departments:
Game Day and Events
- Game day and event setup and packdown
- Work alongside other employees and interns
- Greet contractors and assist with set up of activities and performances at game day and eventss
- Assist with activations and experiences on the day of the game day/event
- Develop relationships with game day suppliers, sponsors, members and fans
- Working alongside the events team to plan and present events
- Assist with creating game day and events documents
Membership and Ticketing
- Assist with data entry and cleanse through the membership and ticketing databases
- Assist the membership team wth saes and servicing during high peak periods
- Assist on game day in the box office or membership marquee as required
Raiders Shop
- Assist with stock management and order fulfilment
- Assist on game day in the Raiders Shop as required
Community, Internship and Volunteer Programs
- Working with the Community Manager to deliver school engagement programs aligned to the Club's strategic objectives
- Assist at community events and activations
- Assist with recruitment and ongoing management of the internship and volunteer programs
- Assist with coordinating tasks when interns are in office or at a game/event
- Assist with monitoring of shared inboxes
