Logan Basketball Incorporated (LBI) is a not-for-profit sporting organisation founded in 1998, dedicated to excellence in basketball and venue management. As one of Queensland's leading basketball associations, LBI delivers competitions, programs and a development pathway that support over 3,000 registered playing participants and a Thunder Family network of more than 10,000 past and present connected members, making LBI the preeminent sporting organisation in the City of Logan.
LBI’s culture is grounded in three core values:
- Family - ensuring every member feels a strong connection to the Thunder Family
- Progression - continually seeking new and exciting ways to grow our business and community engagement
- Professionalism - a standard instilled in every staff member and player from day one
The General Manager is the senior executive leader of Logan Basketball Incorporated, accountable to the Management Committee for the strategic, financial, operational and cultural performance of the Association. The GM translates the Management Committee’s strategic vision into an executable plan, builds and leads a high performing staff team, and represents LBI as its principal ambassador across government, basketball, sponsorship and community networks.
This is a whole-of-business leadership role spanning governance and strategy, commercial and financial management, people and culture, facilities and major projects, basketball programs, pathways, and stakeholder and government relations. The GM operates under a Deed of Delegation from the Management Committee and is expected to exercise sound, independent executive judgement within that mandate.
Logan Basketball is a maturing organisation entering its next chapter of growth. The Association is seeking an established executive leader who can build on this momentum as LBI pursues an expanded venue management footprint, completes its transition to a company limited by guarantee, and delivers a strategic growth plan aligned to the once in a generation opportunity of Brisbane 2032.
