We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lifeguard to develop their leadership skills within the broader Maroondah Leisure Team.

Within this role we are looking for someone who is organised, professional and has great initiative.

You will need demonstrated experience in:

• Providing effective supervision of all aquatic areas with a vigilant approach to patron safety, including profiling, scanning and problem solving
• Recognising and responding quickly to emergency situations, providing appropriate first aid and water rescues as required
• Communicating clearly and politely with both patrons and other staff, ensuring all interactions are professional and in line with Council values and policies
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in aquatic environments and ensuring areas are properly prepared for use by the public and user groups
• Applying pool supervision techniques according to industry standards and adhering to Lifeguard Protocol, OH&S policies, risk management, and quality assurance requirements
• Attending and participating in in-house training sessions and meetings to maintain lifesaving and first aid skills
• Working a flexible roster including early mornings, nights, weekends, and public holidays
