Rugby Australia is the national governing body for rugby union in Australia, responsible for managing the sport from grassroots to elite levels, including iconic teams like the Wallabies, Wallaroos and the Aussie 7s.
Reporting to the Head of Ticketing, the Ticketing Manager will assist with delivering of Rugby Australia’s ticketing program for the Wallabies, Wallaroos and Sevens. Working closely with venues, ticketing agents and internal stakeholders to deliver end-to-end ticketing solutions, the role is responsible for assisting with event builds, collating ticketing requirements across the organisation, transacting, printing and distributing ticket allocations, and responding to enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders. You will produce venue maps and CADs for stakeholder distribution and coordinate marketing and promotional requirements with Rugby Australia’s marketing team and ticketing agents.
As the "engine room" of the ticketing function, this position also oversees the Ticketing Services inbox and supports game day ticketing operations when required, including box office management and staffing coordination. The role also provides administrative support, updates the Rugby AU Tickets app and supports the development of new initiatives and programs aimed at increasing ticketing revenue.
To be considered for this position you will be an enthusiastic and highly organised ticketing professional with hands-on experience using major ticketing systems such as Ticketek, Ticketmaster and Archtics. Commercially astute, you will be a proactive self-starter with a high level of attention to detail, a process-driven mindset and the ability to resolve sensitive issues at all levels.
Key to success in this role is the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including ticketing agencies, venues and sponsors. Whilst an understanding of rugby and the ability to "talk footy" would be beneficial, more important is the ability to positively engage with people across a wide-ranging demographic.
