About the role

We're now looking for a DEI Officer to support Tennis West in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organisation. This is a part-time fixed-term opportunity (3 days a week) until December 2027.

In this role, you will play a key part of the Tennis West Inclusion & Diversity team by supporting the development and delivery of inclusion strategy and inclusion programs and events across WA - particularly for Players with an intellectual impairment, Blind/Low Vision, Deaf/Hard of hearing, Wheelchair and Para Standing, LGBTQIA+, CALD and First Nations.

In this role you will:

  • Support the DEI Lead in the planning and execution of DEI events, programs, pathways, initiatives, workshops, and training sessions
  • Contribute to delivering the priorities and initiatives outlined in the Tennis West DEI Operational Plan (DEIOP)
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on project outcomes, ensuring strong processes and documentation
  • Assist in developing DEI communications, resources, and outreach materials
  • Support the planning and delivery of diversity, inclusion, and equity initiatives across Tennis West, providing event and administrative support as required

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A genuine passion for advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion - ideally within sport or community contexts
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of tennis or the broader sporting landscape is desirable
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
  • Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis West
