The CEO will shape and implement Vicsport’s new strategic plan, guiding the organisation and sector to build sustainability, enhance capability, advance inclusion, and demonstrate the social, physical, and economic impact of sport and recreation.
Leading and mentoring a small, dedicated team the CEO will foster a collaborative, high-performance culture that embraces innovation and evidence-based decision-making. A key focus will be strengthening Vicsport’s sustainability through innovative partnerships and business models, while ensuring the organisation remains responsive to emerging trends, challenges and opportunities.
This role requires a dynamic and influential leader who can provide both strategic direction and operational excellence. The CEO will build strong, trusted relationships with members, government, industry and community partners, ensuring sport and recreation are embedded in the policies and investments that shape Victoria’s future. The position will suit someone who can combine advocacy and policy influence with commercial acumen, positioning Vicsport as a credible and respected partner across all levels of government and the sector.

This is a unique opportunity to lead, represent and shape the future of sport and recreation in Victoria. Under your leadership, Vicsport will continue to champion the power of sport and recreation to enrich lives, strengthen communities and ensure every Victorian has the opportunity to participate and thrive.
