About the role

The Centre Manager, Tennis World Canberra is responsible for the effective and efficient management and operations of the Canberra Tennis facility. This role will oversee the Customer Service, Coaching and Programs team and ensure all aspects of operations are delivered in a friendly and effective manner. The Centre Manager role encompasses day to day oversight of customer service delivery, coaching delivery and enrolments, retail merchandise fulfilment, membership and programs administration, Tournaments and overall business performance. The role will also oversee venue operations, maintenance and repairs.

In this role you will:
  • Develop and implementation of product ranges for retail sales and merchandising.
  • Oversee general operation of area, including order processing, customer service and staffing.
  • Plan and develop appropriate coaching programs across all segments for implementation at CTC.
  • Oversee and advise on developing appropriate training for coaches to increase their skill base.
  • Propose and construct a new Business Plan for the centre in conjunction with the Tennis World Manager (NSW & ACT).

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in sports and venue management or similar
  • Existing knowledge of Tennis Programs, formats, pathways and systems (such as UTR platform)
  • Ability to influence and deliver outcomes among stakeholders with conflicting needs and expectations
  • Willingness to be flexible with work schedule to meet operational requirements
  • A current Police Check and Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain)
