Lacrosse Australia (LA) is the national governing body for lacrosse, responsible for the sport’s governance, growth, and development. We work in partnership with Member Associations, the Australian Institute of Sport/ Australian Sports Commission, and World Lacrosse to drive participation, deliver competitions, and foster high-performance outcomes.
With Lacrosse confirmed on the program for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, the sport is entering a transformational era. We are seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer to seize this once-in-a-generation opportunity and guide Lacrosse Australia into a bold new chapter.
About the Role
Reporting to the Board, the CEO will lead the organisation with strategic vision and operational excellence. This is a diverse and high-impact role requiring strong governance capability, financial stewardship, stakeholder influence, and cultural leadership. The CEO will be the public face of Lacrosse in Australia and play a key role in positioning the sport nationally and internationally.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Leadership & Strategy - drive delivery of LA’s mission and strategic plan, ensuring alignment to Olympic ambitions.
- Stakeholder Engagement - act as the primary liaison with Member Associations, ASC/ AIS, World Lacrosse, AOC, government, and commercial partners.
- Governance & Finance - oversee compliance, financial management, grant acquittals, and organisational administration.
- People & Culture - lead staff, volunteers, and contractors with a values-based, inclusive approach.
- Programs & Events - oversee the delivery of competitions, community programs, and high-performance initiatives from grassroots to international stage.
About You

- Tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience) in sport, business, or leadership.

- High integrity, authenticity, and professionalism.
- Must have the Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check and Working with Children clearance.
