Description

MotorSports NT (MSNT) is the peak body for motorsport in the Northern Territory, it represents the interests of 22 Motorsports Clubs, over 11,000 licenced competitors, pit crews, volunteers and officials. We are focused on the governance, development, regulation, advocacy and administration of motorsports across the NT.

About the Role

An opportunity exists to join Motorsports NT as our Executive Officer. This pivotal role will provide the successful candidate an opportunity to lead and grow motorsport across the Northern Territory.

Essential Skills

  1. Expert understanding of corporate finance and business management
  2. Strong knowledge of financial, technical, and economic concepts
  3. Proven success as a senior executive managing Clubs/teams
  4. Substantial local motor sport knowledge and business relations
  5. Expertise with Business NT and Motorsports regulatory compliance
  6. Excellent communication skills, time management and strong interpersonal skills

Desirable Skills

  1. Relevant certification in business administration or equivalent experience in executive and corporate management
  2. Collaboration skills for establishing positive working relationships
  3. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and accomplish business objectives
  4. Project management skills

Position Duties

  • Coordination of membership services, including maintenance of accurate membership records and responsibility for all Motorsports NT documents and registers, including financial records and communication, information services.
  • Manage and support the board including meetings, events, travel and other duties as required to ensure the board meets their responsibilities both legislatively and for all stakeholders.
  • Coordination and administrative support to MSNT including management of budgets and

provision of quality secretarial support for meetings as required (such as event planning, minute taking, travel, catering and venue operations).

  • Communicate effectively and maintain cooperative relationships with the Chair and other relevant internal and external stakeholders including MSNT members.
  • Manage office procedures and systems, and knowledge of internal information systems, intranets and websites.
  • Undertake projects as required using project management methodology and undertake analysis and evaluation as required for reporting purposes.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to diplomatically, calmly and responsibly manage sensitive and confidential matters relating to governance and decision-making.
  • Demonstrate high level communication skills including comprehension and writing skills to capture, analyse and present complex information.

Further requirements include; ability to have a Criminal History Check, a Working With Children’s Card and NT Drivers licence.
