The GIANTS’ AFL and AFL Women’s teams are based at the club’s elite training and administration facility in Sydney Olympic Park, with GIANTS Netball based adjacent at Netball Central.

Position Purpose
The GIANTS are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Sales to join our Commercial team. This role is responsible for leading and managing the sales efforts to drive revenue generation through corporate partnerships, corporate hospitality, events, coterie memberships and GIANTS Foundation. The Head of Sales will work closely with key stakeholders across the club, collaborating on strategic initiatives and ensuring the GIANTS brand continues to grow and thrive in the Australian sports market.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership: Setting clear goals, providing coaching and training, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets for corporate partnerships, corporate hospitality, events, coterie membership and GIANTS Foundation.
- Revenue Generation: Drive the development of strategic sales plans to increase revenue.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, sponsors, coterie members, and key stakeholders, ensuring high levels of engagement and satisfaction.
- Partnerships: Identify and secure new sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute sales strategies, including pricing models, product offerings, and promotional activities to drive growth.
- Collaboration with Marketing: Work closely with the marketing team to create compelling sales campaigns, and initiatives that align with the club's brand and objectives.
- Market Analysis: Analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Skills and Knowledge
- Proven sales leadership role, preferably within the sports, entertainment, or hospitality industries.
- Proven track record of successfully driving sales growth and managing high-performing sales teams.
- Strong understanding of sports sponsorship and club strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close high-value deals.
- Understand the AFL Commercial Guidelines in intimate detail.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse data and market trends to inform decision-making.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
