• Maximum Term Contract - Full Time role (up to 30 June 2026)  
• Salary: $113,585 pa + super + 19 day month

Maroondah City Council is a growing municipality which includes an impressive leisure portfolio comprising Ringwood and Dorset Golf, The Rings, Maroondah Nets, Aquanation, Aquahub and Croydon Memorial Pool.

The Customer Experience and Business Development Manager is a pivotal role within Maroondah Leisure, responsible for overseeing all aspects of memberships and retail sales, customer care and retention strategies, as well as having specialised knowledge in Leisure related systems.

This multifaceted position combines strategic business development, exceptional customer service, efficient administrative management, and effective retention practices to drive growth and ensure a high-quality member experience.

The role will manage and develop a team of Coordinators who are responsible for the member care, customer service and memberships and call centre teams, to ensure the long-term financial and business plan targets are achieved. You will be passionate about health and fitness and will preferably have previous working experience in the leisure industry.

• Demonstrated experience leading sales and membership strategies and teams in a leisure environment.
• Demonstrated experience in a senior supervisory role within a Leisure Facility including a sound understanding of aquatic and recreation operations.
• Demonstrated experience leading, managing, and coaching a large team in the achievement of organisational goals and objectives.     
• Utilisation of high level written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and produce material to a high standard.
• Strong financial management skills, including complex budget creation, monthly forecasting, analysis and achieving financial targets.
• An understanding of the leisure industry and its trends and the ability to respond to changing market needs that keep Maroondah Leisure at the forefront of service delivery.
