Wide Bay Sports Academy is undergoing a period of significant transformation and growth, with expanding program delivery across schools throughout the Wide Bay, continued development of our individual-athlete athletic performance program, and growing club, sporting organisation and coach development partnerships. As our regional support model continues to evolve, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate flexibility in their availability, adaptability across a range of delivery environments, and access to reliable personal transportation.
Under the direction of the WBSA General Manager (GM), the WBSA Athletic Performance Coach (APC) plays a leading role in day-to-day operation of the academy’s athletic performance programs. The APC requires a strong understanding of issues facing regional junior athlete development and can develop and adapt programs that achieve defined objectives.
The role will be required to plan and deliver athletic performance programs to WBSA athletes and contracted programs. The APC is responsible for data collection, recording and analysing to provide feedback to the GM, Board, athletes and key stakeholders as needed.
