About the role and you 

SEN is looking for a Part Time (averages 0.8 FTE across a 12-month period) Head of Performance and Strength & Conditioning on an initial 12-month contract term. The role will lead, manage, support and align the High-Performance Services at the Club to ensure optimal player performance. They will develop the strategic framework for the program, as well as be responsible for managing each discipline ensuring both the Super Netball and Reserves programs are fully integrated, fostering collaboration with each Performance Services team member.

The main duties include: 

  • Lead and implement the Club's High Performance Program, ensuring alignment across the Super Netball and Reserves programs.
  • Design and deliver strength and conditioning programs that optimise athlete performance, development and recovery.
  • Work closely with coaches, medical staff and performance practitioners to support individual athlete growth and team success.
  • Monitor athlete performance, manage training loads, and use data-driven insights to inform program effectiveness.
  • Lead and coordinate the Club's performance services team, fostering collaboration and high standards across all disciplines.
  • Attend training sessions, matches and key performance meetings to support athlete preparation and game-day performance.
  • Build strong relationships with athletes, coaches, support staff and key stakeholders to drive a positive, high-performing culture.

 We are looking for someone who has: 

  • A degree in Sport and Exercise Science
  • Minimum ASCA Level 2 Pro S&C, Level 3 desirable
  • ESSA accredited High Performance Manager desirable
  • Experience working in elite or high-performance sport environments.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement athlete performance programs.
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • The flexibility to meet the travel and out-of-hours requirements of elite sport.
