Eastwood Rugby is seeking passionate and experienced Physiotherapists and Strength & Conditioning Coaches to join our Grade and Colts programs for the 2027 season.
These are part-time roles working within our rugby performance program and alongside our coaching, medical and support staff.
Physiotherapist
The Physiotherapist will be responsible for supporting the health, rehabilitation and availability of players throughout the season.
Key responsibilities include:
- Player injury assessment, treatment and management
- Developing and overseeing rehabilitation and return-to-play programs
- Providing strapping and match-day physiotherapy support
- Working closely with coaches and S&C staff regarding player availability and training loads
- Maintaining accurate injury and rehabilitation records
- Supporting injury prevention strategies across the program
- Providing clear communication around player injury status and return-to-play timelines
Applicants should hold appropriate physiotherapy qualifications and professional registration. Experience within rugby or another contact/high-performance sport is highly regarded.
Strength & Conditioning Coach
The Strength & Conditioning Coach will help drive the physical preparation and performance standards of our players throughout the 2027 season.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering strength and conditioning sessions
- Developing players' strength, speed, power, fitness and robustness
- Managing player training loads and physical preparation
- Working alongside physiotherapists on rehabilitation and return-to-play programs
- Supporting player testing, monitoring and individual development
- Collaborating closely with Grade/Colts coaches to ensure physical preparation aligns with rugby requirements
- Helping establish strong standards, accountability and training habits across the program
Applicants should have relevant S&C qualifications, with experience in rugby, contact sport or a high-performance environment highly regarded.
