5v5 refers to popular fast-paced 5-a-side sports league events, most notably in Futsal and Basketball. These community leagues offer social and competitive games within a friendly and supportive atmosphere for all to enjoy. Partnering with Sydney Sports Management Group, 5v5 leagues are available at a number of locations across metro Sydney.
We are on the hunt for a passionate Operations & Sales Coordinator to lead operations, drive sales performance, and deliver exceptional customer service.
This is a unique opportunity to lead our operations, oversee day-to-day management, performance and growth of our programs - whilst taking ownership of our sales function and leading a dedicated sales resource.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patrons in person and over the phone
- Manage team registrations and system software (training provided)
- Provide operational expertise including sales execution, resource allocation, venue operations, scheduling, systems, customer experience and operational delivery
- Own the sales management function - set targets, develop sales strategies, and oversee the performance and output of a sales resource to drive league growth and new team acquisition
- Coach, support and manage a sales team member, ensuring consistent lead follow-up, conversion activity, and alignment with broader business goals
- Maintain quality control ensuring game-day quality is at an optimal standard
- Liaise with the Director on new initiatives whilst supporting the operational components
- Build relationships and work with different sectors of the community
- Provide sales and marketing direction to generate new leads
- Support the setting up and packing up at the end of game day (when required)
- Support the operational roster and contribute to venue management duties to ensure the successful operation of our competitions
- Contribute to the Work, Health and Safety of all patrons and staff
What Are We Looking For
- Previous experience in the coordination and delivery of programming in the Sport and Recreation industry
- Knowledge and understanding of the Sport and Recreation industry, with a commercial focus
- Demonstrated experience in sales management or leading a sales function, including oversight of a sales team member or resource
- Skilled at communicating with patrons from diverse backgrounds
- A hands-on, proactive attitude whilst being part of a supportive team culture
- Proven ability to work in a high-paced, active environment
- Weeknight and Weekend availability essential
- Working With Children Check essential
- First Aid certified or a willingness to obtain prior to commencement of the role
