Full-Time Leadership Role
We are seeking an outstanding, values-driven leader to serve as our Director of Sport & PDHPE (K-12). This significant leadership opportunity will shape a dynamic, inclusive and future-focused program that nurtures students physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually.

About the Role
Reporting to the Deputy Head of Co-Curricular, the Director will provide strategic and visible leadership across all aspects of Sport and PDHPE, ensuring alignment with the School’s Christian vision and enduring purpose.
This is a unique opportunity to lead and shape a coeducational K-12 Sport and PDHPE program that inspires every student to flourish.
Key responsibilities include:
- Articulating and delivering a compelling K-12 vision for Sport & PDHPE that reflects the School’s Christian ethos and commitment to whole-person formation
- Leading and developing expert staff and coaches, fostering a culture of excellence, care and faith-informed practice
- Designing and leading cohesive K-12 pathways, from foundational participation through to high-performance opportunities
- Embedding programs that promote wellbeing, respectful relationships, servant leadership and character development
- Leading a high-performance sport framework grounded in integrity, humility and teamwork
- Cultivating strong, authentic partnerships with families, parishes, and the wider community
- Providing strategic stewardship of facilities, resources and operations, ensuring sustainability and future growth

You are a seasoned educational leader driven by purpose and a deep belief in the transformative power of sport and wellbeing within a Christian ethos.
This is more than a leadership role - it is an opportunity to shape something enduring. You will influence how young people experience movement, competition and wellbeing, while fostering character, inspiring excellence and building foundations for leadership and service.
You will demonstrate:
- A personal commitment to the Christian faith and the capacity to actively support and model the School’s Anglican identity and values
- Proven leadership experience in Sport and/or PDHPE within a K-12 or comparable setting
- Strong strategic, future-focused planning capability
- Deep understanding of student wellbeing, development, safeguarding and duty of care
- Demonstrated success in leading curriculum and Co-curricular innovation
- Experience in managing facilities, resources, budgets and external providers
- Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and manage vendors effectively
- Success in developing participation and high-performance pathways
- Excellence in relational leadership, team development and stakeholder engagement
- Capacity for innovation, anticipatory thinking and continuous improvement
- A recognised teaching qualification and eligibility for teacher accreditation in NSW

Additional Requirements
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or an ability and willingness to acquire one in NSW

Who are we?
St Andrew’s Cathedral School (SACS) is an independent, Kindergarten to Year 12 Anglican school located in two high-rise buildings in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. The school offers students a strong academic program and extensive opportunities to be involved in sport, music, drama and outdoor education.

Child Safety
SACS is a child safe organisation. Our School promotes the safety and wellbeing and inclusion of all students. In support of SACS’ commitment to embedding child safety (Standard 1), we ensure that our staff are suitable for working with children and young people and that they are supported (Standard 5).
Staff are required to maintain a child safe culture, act in every child’s best interest and to keep them safe from harm, in accordance with the School’s policies and procedures (Standard 10) which reflect the Child Safe Standards.
It is a condition of employment that all new Staff at the School must sign a written statement or complete an electronic acknowledgement that they have read and understand our Child Safe Policy and the Child Safe Codes of Conduct prior to commencing at the School.
