The Burleigh Bears Rugby League Football Club are looking for a casual Sports Administration Assistant, minimum 25 hours per week.  This position is responsible for providing support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or other management personnel by effectively performing a wide variety of administrative, analytical and research duties.

This role requires a high level of independence, the use of initiative, independent judgement and fully understand confidentiality.

This is a very busy, varied role and you will be required to have a high degree of flexibility to work weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general reception and administrative support including phone enquiries, email management, and maintaining office systems.
  • Prepare, edit, and distribute club communications, presentations, and reports.
  • Provide administrative support to the CEO, Football Operations, and Commercial Department.
  • Maintain website content and digital platforms including e-newsletters, merchandise updates, and club communications.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, including agendas, minutes, and logistics.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of game day operations, including invitations, RSVP tracking, and on-the-day coordination.
  • Support the planning of club events, fundraisers, and corporate functions including invitations, guest communication, and event logistics.
  • Process invoices and receipts; assist with merchandise stock control, online orders, and point-of-sale on game days.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of government grant applications. 

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Previous experience in a similar sports environment in administration and reception.
  • Experience in graphic design, Canva, Adobe and social media content creation and platform management would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge and or experience in Rugby League would be advantageous.
  • Working With Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to obtain.
