Casual Contract | March – November 2026 | Approx. 25 hours per week

Brisbane Junior Rugby Union (BJRU) is seeking an organised, proactive and community-focused professional to coordinate the delivery of our Representative and Development Rugby Programs for the 2026 season.

This pivotal role sits at the heart of BJRU’s pathway system, supporting the planning, compliance, communication and operational delivery of representative carnivals and development initiatives across Greater Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities

Program Coordination

  • Coordinate BJRU Representative Programs and Development Carnivals
  • Support age group development initiatives (U10–U12)
  • Assist with the formation and administration of combined development teams
  • Monitor player payments and carnival logistics

Governance & Compliance

  • Maintain accreditation database for coaches, managers, trainers and medics
  • Assist with managing BJRU’s Blue Card register and applications
  • Assist with incident reporting, serious injury records and safeguarding documentation
  • Support administration of Code of Conduct matters

Administration & Systems

  • Create and manage JotForms and online registration processes
  • Develop and maintain team workbooks for carnivals and tournaments
  • Assist with player refunds and clearance processes

Communications & Brand

  • Liaise with Apparel/Kit Manager on representative merchandise
  • Deliver and implement BJRU’s social media plan
  • Provide weekly updates across BJRU social platforms
  • Maintain and update the BJRU website

About the Role

This position requires strong organisational capability, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders including clubs, volunteers, coaches, team management and parents.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong administrative and coordination skills
  • An understanding of rugby operations and representative pathways
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and compliance processes
  • Confidence managing digital systems and communication platforms
  • A commitment to creating safe, inclusive and well-governed rugby environments

Experience within community or representative rugby will be highly regarded.

Position Details

Contract Type: Casual

Term: 9 months (March – November 2026)

Hours: Approx. 25 hours per week

Essential Requirements

  • HSC/VCE equivalent
  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • Drivers Licence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Canva, Social Media Platforms
