Description

The Financial Operations Executive is a key member of the Finance team, responsible for delivering efficient and accurate financial processing across accounts payable, recievable, reconciliations, banking, and general financial administration. The role supports the daily operations of the Finance Department and contributes to menth-end reporting and compliance processes.

You'll be part of a team that values accuracy, initiative and collaboration, with exposure across accounts, reconciliations, systems and reporting. If you’ve got 2-3 years of experience, a solid grasp of finance processes, and a genuine interest in Australian sport - we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and staff reimbursements using Hubdoc and ApprovalMax
  • Prepare and issue invoices across sponsorship, grants, and hospitality
  • Manage daily banking and credit card reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end tasks including journals, accruals, and reporting packs
  • Maintain accurate financial records and support compliance requirements
  • Coordinate onboarding forms and medical reimbursements for players and staff
  • Communicate with internal teams and external partners to resolve finance queries

About You

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a finance, accounts, or administration role
  • Degree (or working towards) in Finance, Commerce or Accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable using modern finance systems i.e. Xero
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and time management
  • Familiarity with the Australian sporting landscape or experience in team sports is highly valued
  • Eager to grow in a hands-on environment and contribute to a team culture

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree (or currently studying) in Finance, Commerce, or Accounting
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy
