About the opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, customer-focused bookings and events professional to join our Key Venues team as Program and Events Team Leader at Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope. If you are passionate about delivering high-quality sport and leisure experiences and have a strong attention to detail, we would love to hear from you!
Position purpose:
The Program and Events Team Leader is responsible for booking, administration, and supervision of centre facilities, competitions, dry-side activities, birthday parties, functions and events to deliver services that enrich the lives and enhance the general well-being of people of all ages.
Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in sports programming, competition management, events organisation and facilitation
- Minimum two years in an organisational and supervisory capacity in a related environment
- Experience working both within a team environment and as a ‘self-starter’
- Current Working with Children Check.
Desirable:
- Current class C driver's licence
- Relevant experience in accordance with the requirements of the Position Description
- Appropriate qualifications
- Computer Literate
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Availability to work flexible hours.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,408.84 per week, plus an additional 12.25% in accordance with Council's flexibility agreement
- 114 hours over a 3-week rotational roster
