How you can play a part

As part of the Brisbane Broncos Finance Team, the Financial Accountant plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy, integrity and compliance of the Club’s financial reporting. Working across all areas of the business, you will support statutory obligations and provide timely financial information to enable informed decision making.

Key responsibilities include:

  • End of month accounting, reconciliations and reporting across multiple departments
  • Preparation of monthly cashflow, cashflow forecasts, BAS, and compliance reporting
  • Amongst other areas, management of merchandise, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments and deferred revenue
  • Support for half year and year end statutory financial statement preparation
  • Collaboration with internal teams to support budgeting, forecasting and financial controls
  • Assistance with insurance, risk management and compliance reporting and ad hoc finance projects

To be considered

To be considered for this opportunity you will have

  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting or a related discipline
  • CA or CPA qualification with a strong practical experience in financial accounting
  • Demonstrated experience in reconciliations, statutory reporting and compliance
  • Advanced excel skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across the business
  • High levels of professionalism, discretion and accountability
