Sport Program Coordinator at the Western Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS)
WAIS is looking for a dedicated Sport Program Coordinator to ensure the efficient delivery of assigned sport programs by coordinating logistics and administering key organisational processes that support athlete scholarships and high-performance outcomes.
This position is part-time, 22.5 hours per week, maximum term until December 2028 with the potential to extend.

Role Overview:
As a Sport Program Coordinator, key duties include:
- Coordinate and administer sport and individual athlete scholarship processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery in line with program requirements.
- Monitor and ensure athlete compliance with all program obligations, providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate logistics for WAIS-organised sport program travel, ensuring seamless execution and athlete readiness.
- Collaborate with Sport Program Managers, Head Coaches, and performance support staff to deliver integrated, athlete-centred support.
About you:
- You are committed to upholding Australia’s High Performance WinWell pledge putting athlete wellbeing at the forefront of your role.
- Undergraduate qualification in Sports Administration/Sports Management or related field and/or demonstrated knowledge through lived experience.
- You have at least 3 years’ experience in a related position, coordinating program operations including task management, travel logistics, and stakeholder communication.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in high-performance, interdisciplinary teams; prioritising team goals, solving problems through constructive debate, and applying lessons to enhance future success.
- Proven skill in engaging others to adopt ideas and commit to actions, including educating staff and athletes to facilitate high-performance behaviour change.
- You are a genuine team player that cares about others and always acts with kindness and integrity.
- You have or are able to attain a Working with Children Check and National Police Criminal History check.
