Description

We are seeking someone to join our board of directors taking on the membership and partnerships portfolio. This is a great opportunity to join a leading community club and to either start or continue your director journey.

The Fitzroy Football Club, incorporating the Fitzroy Reds, competes in the Victorian Amateur Football Association fielding men's and women's teams and is a Women and Girls' Charter Club. We play out of the historical Brunswick Street Oval in North Fitzroy.

The Membership and Partnerships Director will assist in the continued development and long-term sustainability of the Club through strong membership base, partnerships and income.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow the Club’s membership base and work with other Directors to promote membership drives and benefits    
  • Further develop partnerships with key FFC stakeholders as well as media identities, which will lead to potential fundraising opportunities; enhanced involvement in Club events and attendance at matches; and increased Club membership
  • Develop and coordinate events involving these partners with the Events Director

Necessary experience and skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage relationships with stakeholders and collaborating organisations
  • Strong and reliable attention to detail and professionalism
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • High proficiency in use of digital organisational tools, such as CiviCRM and Google Drive

Director must hold or willing to apply for a current volunteer Working with Children Check.
