You will play a key part in guiding a large and diverse operations team at one of Australia’s most dynamic aquatic venues, where community programs and high performance sport operate side by side

About the role:

This role leads the people side of aquatic operations, shaping a high performing and well supported lifeguard team across one of Australia’s most versatile aquatic environments. You will guide rostering, workforce planning, professional development and staff capability while fostering a strong, positive and high performing team culture. Working closely with the Aquatic Operations Team Leader Safety and Compliance, you ensure the team is engaged, well prepared and consistently delivering an exceptional experience for every patron.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading workforce planning, rostering and resource allocation across all aquatic operations.
  • Driving staff development, including training coordination, performance support and capability building.
  • Supporting Supervisors and Lifeguards with workflow, communication and team leadership.
  • Coordinating staff allocation for programs, bookings and events.
  • Supporting customer experience outcomes across all aquatic service areas.
  • Contributing to projects, operational planning and continuous improvement.

What You Bring to the Pool Deck:

  • Proven leadership experience within aquatic or recreation environments.
  • Strong rostering and workforce planning capability.
  • Experience in training coordination, professional development or competency-based training.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills with staff and patrons.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high operational standards.
  • Pool Lifeguard, First Aid, WWCC and Aquatic Technical Operator qualifications
