About the role

Tennis West is now seeking two Regional 'Fuel to Go & Play' (FTGP) Ambassadors - Wheatbelt, with one role based in the Wheatbelt South region and one in the Wheatbelt North region.

In these roles, you'll make a meaningful impact on tennis participation and community well-being across your local area, championing a collaborative, sustainable, and inclusive approach to tennis that supports clubs, schools, and communities to embrace the health and social benefits of being active.

Please note: Only applicants currently based in the relevant Wheatbelt South or Wheatbelt North region will be considered for each respective role. These positions are part-time, equivalent to one full day per week (typically worked as one or two half days), through to November 2026.

As a Regional FTGP Ambassador, you will:

  • Engage with local stakeholders to increase visibility, access, and participation in tennis across the region
  • Support clubs with FTGP grant applications and acquittals, ensuring funding is used effectively
  • Promote healthy habits by helping clubs and coaches integrate FTGP healthy-eating messages into programs and community activities
  • Represent Tennis West as the local regional ambassador, supporting communication and engagement with clubs and schools to drive participation growth
  • Assist clubs in accessing Healthway Healthy Sports funding and other relevant initiatives that support community programs

About you

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be based in the Wheatbelt region and have a strong understanding the local community
  • Bring enthusiasm, motivation, and strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage confidently with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Hold a current driver's licence and have access to your own vehicle
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
  • Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis West
