Under the direction of the Waratahs Team Manager, to coordinate and deliver all SANZAAR requirements for match day management for the Waratahs in the Super Rugby Pacific, Super Rugby AU and other competitions. The role will also act as operations and logistics coordinator for all men’s, women’s and pathway teams.
In addition to the above, the role is responsible for the maintenance and efficient use of the Daceyville facility, including overseeing the logistics of operations such as facility access, maintenance and bookings, equipment inventory and transportation. This will involve the management of building services, overseeing contractors and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations throughout the facility.

Operations & Logistics
Academy Teams manager
All rugby requirements in preparation for pathway matches
Support to Waratahs Operations team events
Coordinating team logistics and operations both in and out of competition
Oversee the coordination and implementation of agreements between the team and external training venue providers
Assist with the planning, ordering and distribution of team uniforms and equipment, including playing, training, formal and casual apparel in consultation under the direction of the Waratahs Team Manager and the Waratahs commercial department
Oversee the usage of the Team Gear van.
Record and maintain equipment inventory, including the tracking and control of materials, equipment and consumables
Facilities Management
Oversee the maintenance, cleaning and security of all facilities and grounds within the Daceyville complex
Manage building projects, renovations and repairs, including coordinating with contractors and ensuring work is completed to high standards
Monitor and manage operational budgets for facility related maintenance expenses.
Compliance and Safety
Ensure all facilities comply with government regulations, health and safety standards and energy efficiency requirements
Manage work permits and risk assessments for on-site contractors
Implement and maintain emergency preparedness procedures.
Pathways
Provide logistical support for NSW Pathway teams, including assistance and support with team apparel, facility booking and field hire, travel logistics and fees.
Provide administrative support for pathway teams
Work closely with the Head of Pathways to ensure coordination of all pathway activities.
Match Day Involvement
Organisation of all kit and equipment requirements for domestic and overseas games, in line with airline baggage capacity and group check-in requirements to minimize the impact on team travel and maximise the efficiency of travel.
Liaise with all rugby staff and players to ensure their game day requirements are appropriately planned and delivered.
Manage and deliver the game day team and changing room set up in line with the Waratahs Way and coach’s game model. Ensure room is set up caters for the requirements of coaches, players, performance analysts and medical staff. Dressing room set up should be appropriate to the level of competition and program budget.
Significant experience in logistics operations, supply chain management, inventory and freight.
Experience in managing and maintaining facilities, including overseeing maintenance, operations and vendor contracts.
Experience in a sports-related environment and an understanding of the unique demands of professional sports teams and events.
Experience in working as part of a diverse multi-disciplinary team to deliver high performance sport objectives in a complex environment
Demonstrated capacity to provide timely, compelling, and concise advice to inform senior management to support decision making.
Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally with a diverse range of stakeholders
An understanding of the specific needs to a professional rugby club or other sporting body, including player support, training facilities and match day logistics.
Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and statutory requirements.
The ability to develop and implement strategic and operational plans for both the facilities and logistics functions of the role.
Highly developed communication skills including interpersonal, negotiation, influencing and representation
Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of MS Office
Qualifications
Diploma of Logistics or Facilities Management or related area

First Aid and Resuscitation certificate

Current driver’s licence
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as facilities management, business administration or sports management is desirable.
