The Junior Representative Director of Coaching leads in the coach and player development for either the boys or girls Junior Representative program for Diamond Valley Basketball Association. The JRDOC will work with another DOC and will act as the main point of contact for coaches regarding the on-court organisation of the Junior Representative program. Both JRDOCs will work closely with the Representative Basketball Administrator, the Head of Basketball, the Junior Representative subcommittee, the Welfare Officer and the General Manager.
Duties
Organise and deliver Junior Representative Tryouts.
Be on every selection panel.
Run the Junior Representative Development Programs.
Run the Junior Representative Holiday Programs.
Lead Junior Representative Coach Development-Education, mentoring, games and trainings.
Be present at games and trainings. Friday nights, Sunday mornings and mid week trainings.
Adhere to directed style of play and communicate to coaches effectively.
Deal with any player and coach grievances relating to on court matters.
Chair coach reviews and meet with coaches regarding player reviews.
Adhere to KPIs and accountability measures set by the Head of Basketball and subcommittee.
Liaise with Basketball Victoria in relation to Eagles HP selections and represent Eagles players best interests for State Teams and Development Programs.
