How you can play a part

Reporting to the Head of Strength & Conditioning, the Athletic Performance Coach (Speed & Agility) is accountable for developing and delivering applied and innovative speed, agility, and movement development programs to optimise athletic performance across the NRL squad, Academy, and Affiliate programs through;

  • Leading design and delivery of speed and agility development programs for NRL, Academy, and Affiliate squads.
  • Aligning programs with athlete development framework 
  • Assist with delivery of strength and power sessions in addition to recovery, prehabilitation, and flexibility sessions
  • Lead and deliver on-field warm-ups and movement preparation
  • Liaise with Coaches to ensure speed and agility programs are aligned across the player pathway
  • Support Affiliate Clubs with player monitoring, program development, and delivery of speed and agility initiatives
  • Various other tasks as required

To be considered

To be considered for this opportunity you will have

  • Tertiary qualifications in sport science or exercise science
  • Level 2 ASCA Strength & Conditioning accreditation or National Rugby League Coach accreditation (min Level 2)
  • A demonstrable understanding of the NRL, QRL, major sports administration or professional sporting team culture
  • Experience coaching elite athletes, including delivery of speed and agility development programs
  • Demonstrated ability to utilise sports technology for performance analysis and monitoring
  • First Aid Certificate - desirable
  • Current Drivers licence and Blue Card
