We’re looking for an energetic, organised, and community-minded professional to take on a hybrid role that blends rugby development, program delivery, and competition administration across one of NSW’s most desirable living locations and a very passionate rugby region.
As the Far North Coast Rugby Union Zone Manager & Rugby For Good Project Officer, you’ll play a key role in driving participation, strengthening clubs and schools, and delivering programs that use rugby as a tool for positive social change.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and Support: Provide administrative and operational support to the Far North Coast Rugby Union Board and affiliated clubs.
- Grow the Game: Coordinate competitions, gala days, and representative programs across the region.
- Deliver Programs: Work hands-on in the community to deliver Rugby For Good initiatives that build inclusion, wellbeing, and connection.
- Build Partnerships: Connect schools, clubs, councils, and local organisations to grow the rugby footprint from Yamba to the QLD border.
- Drive Engagement: Promote rugby through local media, social media, and community events.
- Support Development: Assist with coaching and match official education and help attract and retain volunteers.
- Find Opportunities: Seek funding and sponsorship to sustain community programs and competitions.
About You
You’re equally comfortable managing spreadsheets as you are setting up a try zone.
You’re a connector, organiser, and community builder who can switch between strategic planning and hands-on delivery with ease.
You’ll Bring:
- Experience in sports administration, club management, or community development.
- Strong organisational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence using Rugby Xplorer and standard Microsoft applications.
- A current Driver’s Licence, Working with Children Check, Smart Rugby accreditation, and First Aid certificate.
Bonus Points For:
- Rugby coaching or refereeing experience.
- Event or competition management background.
- Experience securing sponsorships or community grants.
- An interest in community development and social impact
