Your Role

As Duty Officer - Aquatics, you’ll be the driving force behind daily operations, guiding a team of skilled lifeguards and ensuring our aquatic areas run smoothly and safely. From managing equipment and coordinating admin tasks to being the go-to onsite leader, your presence will shape the experience of every visitor. Key responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site day-to-day supervision of lifeguards, ensuring that public safety and lifeguard standards are maintained
  • Utilise your expertise in pool operations, plant maintenance and hygiene standards to maintain high-quality facilities in compliance with NSW Health Guidelines
  • Maintain all relevant records onsite to adhere to industry standards and guidelines
  • Ensure all WH&S procedure checklists and inspections are completed
  • Play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment whilst delivering an exceptional customer experience for all patrons

Your Profile

If you are motivated, reliable, possess excellent communication skills and passionate about aquatic safety and customer service, we want to hear from you! 

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential experience, qualifications, and licences:

  • First Aid Certificate, CPR, Pool Lifeguard Licence (RLSS), and Pool Operations Certificate
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check 
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising staff in a customer-focused environment.
  • Knowledge of water treatment, hygiene standards, and NSW Health Regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve operational goals.
  • Have a strong background in aquatics and facility management, with a focus on safety and customer service

  • Package: $72,921 - $77,297  gross p.a. (full time equivalent) plus 12% superannuation.
  • Hours of work: Permanent Full-Time (38 hours per week, with 9 day fortnight) and Permanent Part-Time (up to 16 hours per week) positions available. Applicants must be willing to work across a 7 day a week spread (Monday-Sunday) across our various Leisure Centres, and available to across the spread of hours that the facility is open (4.30am - 9.00pm)  to support the operational requirements of our Centres.
