Following the extraordinary success of Queensland athletes at the recent Olympic and Paralympic Games, we are now focused on delivering even more medal-winning moments through to Los Angeles 2028 and our home Games in 2032.

We are seeking talented, motivated individuals whose values and behaviours align with our team and culture. If you are passionate about high performance, committed to continuous improvement, and want to be part of something transformational, we invite you to join us on this exciting journey.

The Digital Services Manager is responsible for the development and management of the QAS digital strategy, local operations and organisational information management in a rapidly changing technology landscape. It will drive and implement the QAS strategic direction of digital services, ensuring digital solutions are secure, cost-effective and support the needs of a high-performance sporting agency.

In this hands-on role, the Digital Services Manager will build strong relationships with key stakeholders by acting as a true partner and positioning the Digital Services function as a highly valued business enabler by delivering timely and relevant advice, services, and digital platforms.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead ICT governance and information management assurance to ensure QAS compliance with Information Security Management System (ISMS) and ICT frameworks, enhancing awareness, data security, record management, and collaboration.
  • Lead ICT projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to project management methodologies, and sustainable, high-quality solutions that meet QAS service needs.
  • Develop and maintain business intelligence platforms to support timely reporting, mitigate risks, and streamline decision-making by reducing delays from complex systems and manual processes.
  • Support the QAS workforce by identifying, procuring, and implementing technology, while managing the purchase, maintenance, and stock levels of ICT equipment to meet business and athlete performance needs, ensuring alignment with QAS policies.
  • Collaborate with QAS' Managed Service Provider to ensure system backups, disaster recovery, business continuity, and network security plans align with industry best practices and QAS requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong, consultative partnerships with key stakeholders, including executive and senior management within QAS, government agencies, suppliers, and partners, while providing expert, timely advice on ICT governance, SLA management, project delivery, and corporate business intelligence reporting to support initiatives and manage programs of work.
  • Manage resources and expenditure within agreed budgets, promoting integrity in the management and use of processes and resources, working with the team to evaluate options and develop appropriate plans to mitigate risks and ensuring others have the information and training they need in delivering value for money outcomes.

The Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our athletes.
