About the Role
We’re seeking a High Performance Manager to design and lead programs that maximise player performance.
You’ll oversee an integrated approach to injury prevention, strength and conditioning, rehabilitation, nutrition and holistic player development, ensuring our players thrive across all phases of the AFL season.
Working closely with coaches, medical staff, and sports science professionals, you’ll drive innovation and excellence while upholding AFL standards, ethics, and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and continual improvement of Fremantle’s health and performance program.
- Use performance and fitness data to drive evidence-based decision-making.
- Provide regular reports and insights to the Senior Coach and Football Executive.
- Mentor and grow a high-performing medical and sports science team.
- Introduce innovative practices that push the boundaries of player performance.
- Build trusted relationships with players, coaches, and staff to positively shape Club culture.
What You’ll Bring
We welcome diverse experiences and perspectives. Ideally, you will have:
- Degree in exercise science or related field (postgraduate qualifications welcomed).
- Accreditation with a recognised body (e.g. ESSA, NSCA).
- Broad knowledge across exercise science, sports management, rehabilitation, or performance psychology.
- Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in elite performance settings.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills - able to influence, collaborate, and inspire.
- Commitment to professional integrity, with ability to obtain Police Clearance and Working with Children Check.
