Meriden is an Anglican school with a Christian foundation. Many of the staff live out their Christian faith in their lives and are active members of a local church. Staff at Meriden are required to actively invest in the Christian ethos of the School, be loyal to the School and the Principal, and publicly supportive of the School’s decisions.

Meriden is an independent girls’ school, located in Sydney’s inner-west and each year ranks among the top schools in the HSC and other academic measures. Meriden seeks to cater for all students’ interests and abilities and offers a broad range of subject areas which are taught in purpose built facilities.

Meriden School has a proud history of excellence in Tennis. The school has won the prestigious Tildesley Shield Tournament for the past 15 years and has represented Australia in four World Schools Championships, winning the gold medal in 2015.

Meriden wishes to employ a Tennis Coach to be based at our Southend Tennis Centre, South Strathfield.

This role will predominantly involve the delivery of lessons to children aged 4 - 12 years and adults, but with the potential to develop athletes into tournament competitors.

This role is a casual position, with the potential to move to permanent for the right candidate.

The position reports to both the Head Coach and the Southend Tennis - Senior Coach and Centre Manager, and ultimately the Principal.

*Child Protection legislation applies to all applicants and a current Working with Children clearance is a requirement. Applicants must be a permanent resident and/or have full Australian work rights

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant Coaching Accreditation
  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • Tennis Australia Junior Development Coach Qualification or equivalent
