About the role

The Recreational Gymnastics Team Leader is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for residents, stakeholders, and the community, providing a seamless gymnastics experience.

We are looking for a Recreational Gymnastics Team Leader to join our growing Recreation Team at Council’s Health and Fitness Centres at Five Dock, and the newly opened Rhodes Recreation Centre.

Within the area of responsibility, this role will (not limited to):

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the recreation gymnastics program  
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure consistent and seamless customer interactions across all touchpoints.
  • Development & lead gymnastics specific training of coaches. Including identifying upcoming courses for coaches
  • Foster a customer-centric culture within the local government by promoting empathy and understanding among staff.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and trends to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Ensure all staff have a full understanding and awareness of risk identification and rectification within the Department in accordance with the Centre WHS Policy.
  • Monitor budget performance to ensure is within defined parameters and take corrective action as required
  • Comply with all relevant Gymnastics Australia and NSW policies and procedures
  • Coach Gymnastics Classes

About the person

To be successful in this role, the candidate should have:

  • Minimum intermediate accreditation under the Gymnastics Australia coaching framework
  • Experience in gymnastics coaching
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and use of relevant tools.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Demonstrated project coordination skills.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and programs.
  • Current Class “C” Drivers Licence
  • Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one
