AusCycling is the nation’s peak riding and cycling body, representing more than 5 million Australians who ride bikes. Formed in 2020 from 19 state, territory, and national bodies, AusCycling is responsible for programs, projects and initiatives that encompass BMX, Track, Mountain Bike, Road, Para and recreational.
We help school kids learn to ride, we stage more than 500 events each year, we nurture clubs and create pathways, and we are responsible for the training, welfare, and performance of Australia’s Olympic, Commonwealth Games and World Tour athletes.

Position Purpose
To support the administration and delivery of athlete development programs and processes across the AusCycling Pathway system. Working closely with the Director of Pathways, Operations team, and external stakeholders e.g. AIS and SIS/SAS (HPN), with the aim of maximizing pathway objectives.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Performance Operations team to deliver effective operational and logistical support for Pathways camps and activities across Track, Road, Para, BMX (Race & Freestyle), and MTB (XCO), including budget management, and meeting relevant compliance requirements
- Athlete Categorisation processes, data collection and distribution, panel coordination and AIS reporting
- Ensure all pathway activities are delivered in accordance with relevant policies, including child safety, safeguarding, travel risk, and athlete wellbeing
- Maintain activity planner and associated scoping documents and checklists i.e., athletes and staff activity attendance and requirements
- Maintain accuracy of staff, athlete, parent or guardian contacts and email distribution lists
- Assist in facilitating support in Emergency / Critical Incident situations
- Respond to athlete and parent or guardian enquiries with professionalism and care
- Scribing and distribution of accurate meeting actions
- Contribute to review and improvement of pathway administrative systems, processes and tools
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders e.g., AIS and SIS/SAS (HPN)
- Support in maintaining current content for key AusCycling Pathway communication and content channels i.e., AC athlete information and AC website
- Secretariat for U19 Selection and Categorisation Panels at Emerging, Developing and Podium Potential categories i.e. Pathway
