Coaching is at the heart of Haileybury’s sporting experience, and we are seeking an experienced leader to help shape the future of our evolving coaching workforce. This pivotal role will drive coaching quality across all levels, from participation to high-performance, while supporting the implementation of our new sports strategy. 

This is a Corporate Services role (non-teaching) with flexible working arrangements in line with our policy. During term time, the role generally operates from Tuesday to Saturday, shifting to Monday to Friday during school breaks.

Responsibilities:

• Coaching Strategy & Program Development: Develop Haileybury’s coaching approach and core philosophy, co-create sport specific playbooks, lead student programs in coaching, managing and officiating
• Coach Recruitment, Development & Education: Recruit appropriately credentialed coaches; deliver ongoing development through training, mentoring and access to industry resources; ensure completion of mandatory safeguarding training
• Program Oversight & Delivery: Lead the development of Haileybury’s holiday and out-of-hours coaching programs; oversee the Haileybury Swim Club; manage relationships with outsourced coaching providers, including contract and performance management
• Culture & Performance: Drive a positive, inclusive and values led sports culture focused on leadership, sportsmanship, and wellbeing. Implement a system to evaluate and enhance coaching performance across the school.

About You:

At Haileybury we are looking for applicants who have possess the following: 

• Skilled in designing and delivering coach education programs, including safeguarding and mentoring, aligned with national performance pathways.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale, player-centric coaching initiatives across youth and senior levels.
• Experienced in evaluating coaching effectiveness, building positive sporting culture, and managing external coaching partnerships.
