About the role

The role of the Tournament Administrator is to provide administrative support and engage with various stakeholders to support the Victorian tournament landscape. You will assist in the planning, organisation and delivery of a range of Tennis Victoria delivered tournaments as well as support third party tournament
deliverers, to ensure a consistent tournament delivery with a focus on providing a positive player experience.

In this role you will:

  • Provide administration and operational support to the delivery of Tennis Victoria State level
    tournaments and significant community events.
  • Play a role in supporting third-party tournament providers in the administration of endorsed tournaments.
  • Support event providers to ensure they are strategically aligned with the Tennis Victoria Events Calendar.
  • Be responsible for the management of Tournament Planner Software files for endorsed events including the creation of acceptance lists, seedings, doubles pairing and draws.
  • Process all relevant income/expenses in WorkDay when required.
  • Assist in the delivery of education in the Tournament Sector, specifically Tournament Planner software.

About you

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Knowledge of tennis landscape within Australia (Tournaments and Competitions).
  • Demonstrated experience in competition or event delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with varied stakeholders.
  • Strong administration skills including computer literacy with Microsoft suite, record keeping and report writing.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis VIC.
