About the team – The Architecture & Design Services Teams design and support ASC’s Technology
Architecture and works across Technology Group to assess business and technical plans and provide guidance to ensure solution architectures, patterns and procedures for development pipelines enable effective sustainment across the organisation though effective communication and alignment which are essential for a well-functioning IT ecosystem that enables effective sustainment across the organisation.
About the role – The Junior Solution Architect (ASC 5), under broad direction, is responsible for providing
solution architecture guidance of, and compliance to, architecture activities and work that delivers high-quality professional enterprise architecture across a range of Technology Group services.
You will provide levels of consultation and advocacy with., and to, ASC business partners and IT management to ensure the assessment, design and development of efficient solutions (applications systems and infrastructure) that include, but are not limited to, SharePoint, CRM, integration, and analytics environments, utilise established standards, procedures and methodologies that support the efficient and effective delivery of the ASC objectives.
While working with Strategy and Design teams, you will assist with project planning and design elements and influencing decisions to ensure architecture standards, and processes comply with, and adhere to, ASC and Technology Group business and ICT strategies.
You will work closely with the various levels of staff to provide assistance in maintaining Architecture and Design Services functional tower activities and will work within a team of professionals who design, develop, and sustain enterprise and domain architecture standards that are sustainable, efficient, secure, and integrated.

About you – Our ideal candidate will be a motivated individual with high levels of attention to detail and a
passion for delivering architecturally designed, developed, and delivered solutions with a human-centered mindset. The successful candidate will have levels of experience in:
- Various (or single) technology stacks, architecture patterns, and development methodologies.
- Assessing systems, identify inefficiencies, and proposing architectural improvements.
- Creating and maintaining low to medium level architectural documentation and an ability to communicate design elements and guidelines to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboratively working with Architecture and Design management to complete Architecture Reviews pre-implementation of designed architecture solutions.
- Analysing and resolving technical problems related to solution architecture and design (including scalability, security, and integration)
- Implementing recommended and approved Architect improvements.
- Remaining up to date and informed of emerging technologies and trends to adapt solution architectural strategies.
- Identifying and mitigating risks associated with solution decisions to ensure system reliability and security.
- Conscious awareness of, and adhere to, ethical considerations and compliance requirements relevant to the organisation.
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or related experience.
- Advanced technical knowledge of solution design customisation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
