Carey Baptist Grammar School are currently seeking an experienced rowing professional to join the team as a Junior Rowing Coordinator. In this position, you will be responsible for implementing key strategic, coaching and program development initiatives within the Junior Rowing Program. This is an exciting opportunity to advance your career and share your passion for rowing!

This is a part-time, fixed-term position.  (This position is flexible and may be available at a casual basis, depending on the successful candidate).

There is a requirement to work during school holidays, afterhours and on weekends. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Offer key strategic, coaching and program development initiatives across the Carey rowing program
• Develop training plans and manage crew selections for the Junior rowing program
• Act as a mentor to students and provide supervision
• Liaise with the Head of Rowing - Operations regarding the coordination, logistics and running of training sessions, regattas, and rowing camps.
• Ad-hoc tasks as required by the rowing department.

The Person: 

To be successful in this position, you will have:

• Experience as a high-level school or club coach
• Strong communication skills
• Highly developed interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated organisational skills
• Prior experience in a similar role in a school setting

A valid Employee Working With Children Check or a Valid Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration is a requirement of employment in this position.
