Motorcycling Victoria is the state governing body for motorcycle sport and recreation, fostering the growth and development of motorcycling across Victoria. As we navigate a period of change, we are seeking an experienced and proactive operations professional, to guide our internal sporting operations team towards a renewed standard of operational excellence.

The Opportunity:

As the General Manager - Operations, you will provide hands-on leadership and management of the organisation's sporting operations, to ensure this function of our organisation advances its output and standard of operational excellence, ultimately for the benefit of Motorcycling Victoria's affilitated Clubs and members.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will oversee all aspects of Motorcycling Victoria's sporting operations and lead an internal team of sporting administrators, positioning the organisation for renewed operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the organisation's sporting operations team, with an action-oriented, driven for results attitude.
• Work closely with the Chief Executive Officer to executive operational changes and strategic initiatives that will better the output of the organisation's engagement with key operational stakeholders, including Clubs and members.
• Foster relationships with key operational stakeholders, to understand their challenges, develop operational practices that ultimately once implemented, drive a standard of excellence that exceeds stakeholder expectations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Motorcycling, sporting, legal and regulatory requirements.
• Promote an inclusive internal team culture that thrives off collaboration, information sharing and a shared vision for operational improvement.
• Support future operational changes through appropriate succession planning and operational documentation, to ensure the internal sporting operations team can evolve and work long-term, with a sustained operational model.

About You:

We are seeking a results-drive professional with:

• Proven experience in organisational operational excellence, ideally in sports administration/management or a related field.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• A collaborative and decisive approach to operations management.
• Knowledge of motorsport or motorcycling (desirable but not essential).
