ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking two dynamic and motivated Duty Managers, to join our Facilities and Operations department on a casual basis.
You will be responsible for overseeing the School’s facilities on campus, including but not limited to, the Sports Centre and the Performing Arts Centre. This role will supervise and manage events within school facilities, on a casual basis, in lieu of the management team onsite. Ongoing weekday, evening and weekend availability is essential. Other weekly shifts will be by negotiation and dependent upon scheduling requirements.
These are casual roles, with an immediate commencement.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide oversite of all events and bookings held on school premises outside of normal school hours.
- Ensure the facilities are well maintained and set up for special functions.
- Assist with the delivery of functions, events and user group venue hire; set up / pack up venues / facilities, liaise with users, and operate Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Act as the on site Chief Warden in the event of an emergency or evacuation.
- Provide oversite of the aquatic bookings and act as the Lifeguard on duty, if required.
- Ensure that the water in both pools is tested at the commencement of each shift and before activities commence.
- Ensure that appropriate action is taken to maintain water quality in both pools to comply with current Health Regulations.
- Provide immediate First Aid to spectators, patrons, and athletes, as required.
ABOUT YOU
Knowledge & skills:
- Ability to administer First Aid and provide leadership in the case of an emergency
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding time management and organisational skills with the ability to juggle several tasks and responsibilities concurrently
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, facility Building Management Systems and Envibe (desirable)
- Previous experience in hospitality or in delivering functions / events
- Previous experience working in an Aquatics area, under the principles of best practice and safe pool operations
Qualifications:
- Pool Lifeguard Award
- Pool Operations Certificate (desirable)
- Level 2 First Aid and CPR qualification
- Working with Children Check
- National Crime Check
