About the role
As the Coordinator Commercial Services Aquatics, you will oversee corporate governance, commercial development, and business improvement initiatives across both City-operated and outsourced aquatic centres. This includes driving revenue growth, marketing and promotional strategy, contract management, and financial oversight. You’ll also lead the development of budgets and reporting, as well as ensure compliance with legislative and WHS standards.
This role supports the delivery of a wide range of community programs, including recreational swimming, squad and high-performance training, learn-to-swim programs, and group fitness services. You will collaborate closely with venue managers, service leads, and the bookings and events team to deliver high-quality services and facilities.

About you
You bring a strong commercial mindset and leadership experience in a service delivery environment. You are analytical, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement. You’re confident managing financials, developing budgets, reporting to senior leaders, writing contracts, and working with people to build trusting relationships across our community services.
You will be instrumental in cultivating a high-performing internal and external culture, grounded in trust, decisive leadership, and unified collaboration across diverse business units - always with the customer and community at the forefront.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Possess strong business acumen, financial literacy and budgeting experience, coupled with employment history in the Aquatics and or Fitness industries.
- Proven experience managing finance, accounts, and administration in a multi-site environment.
- Demonstrated leadership in driving team performance, culture, training, and development. This role manages 4 direct reports.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
- Experience in implementing new IT systems, improving processes, and identifying growth opportunities withing the Aquatics and Fitness industries
