Reporting to the Head of Commercial and Operations, the Commercial Sales Manager is responsible for driving new sales for Sponsorship, Corporate hospitality, Events and Foundation programs.
Key Accountabilities
Generate new sales leads, identify and contact decision-makers, and secure new sponsorship opportunities
Sale of match day corporate hospitality and major events throughout the ACT Brumbies calendar of events
Generate new sales leads and secure new members of the ACT Brumbies Foundation programs
Identify potential customers and generate new business opportunities
Use CRM software to manage leads and sales activities
Have responsibility for individual targets
Working with the Head of Commercial to develop and implement strategies on how to grow the commercial revenue within the Business
Driving innovative thinking around commercial product offerings, services, communications, and promotions for both the Brumbies and external stakeholders
Providing regular reporting and insights on sales and partnership leads
Assist with the preparation of sponsorship proposals and contracts
Stay up-to-date on market trends, competition, and industry developments
Effectively liaise with internal departments- event management, partnerships, marketing, operations, finance etc.
Assist in the implementation and delivery of all hospitality areas on match day
Additional Information
The Commercial Sales Manager is required to work occasional weekends and/or nights, specifically (but not limited to) at each ACT Brumbies, Super Rugby Women’s home games and Corporate Events
The ACT Brumbies will play seven home games in 2025 (plus up to three finals matches)
The ACT Brumbies Super Rugby Women’s team will play up to 3 home games in 2025 (plus up to two finals matches)
The Commercial Sales Manager may also need to work at other events including corporate events, trial matches, fan days and other Brumbies activations which may fall on weekends or nights
