To help us in achieving our plans we are looking for a Senior Tennis Coach to join our team at Tennis World Melbourne Park on a casual basis.
About the role
Tennis World programs include delivering coaching lessons targeted for skill development, social interaction and personal achievement to foster a lifelong enjoyment of tennis. Delivery of the coaching program includes a range of classes including Tennis Hot Shots, Junior Development, and Group Social lessons through to Performance pathways.
The Tennis World Coaching team work to progress all students through the program celebrating personal achievement at each stage of progression. Encouraging students to engage in other programs to test their skills through Fitbit Cardio Tennis, Competitions and Tournaments is essential for long term success.
In this role you will:
- Deliver high-quality tennis coaching programs for players of all ages and abilities, supporting skill development, confidence and lifelong participation in tennis.
- Coach across a variety of programs including Tennis Hot Shots, Junior Development, Cardio Tennis, Holiday Camps and performance pathways.
- Create engaging on-court experiences that drive student progression, retention and enjoyment while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
- Work collaboratively with a passionate coaching team, contributing ideas, mentoring junior coaches and supporting the growth of Tennis World programs.
- Inspire players to achieve their goals by delivering structured lessons, providing meaningful feedback and fostering a positive learning environment.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tennis Australia Community Coaching Course qualification
- Previous experience coaching across all ages and skill level
- Prior experience in mentoring junior coaches
- Good understanding of Tennis products and brands, in particular Racquets and string specifications
- A current Police Check and Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain)
- Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
