The position

The Head Coach - Rowing works under the direction and leadership of the Head of Rowing to deliver a safe, inclusive and high quality rowing experience aligned with the values and educational mission of CGGS. The role provides day to day coaching leadership, oversees athlete development, manages program operations and staff, supports training and performance pathways, and coordinates equipment, logistics, regattas and camps. The Head Coach contributes to program planning and culture while ensuring student wellbeing, safeguarding responsibilities and strong relationships with students, families, staff and the wider rowing community.

The position focuses on coaching excellence, athlete progression, crew management, regatta preparation, and fostering a positive program culture that reflects CGGS’s educational mission.

This position requires weekend and out of usual hours work, including attendance at regattas, camps and tours as required.
