ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Membership Outbound Sales Officers supports the delivery of the strongest emotional connection between our Club and our members and supporters. Our Membership Outbound Sales Officers are relentless in the delivery of outstanding customer service and are critical in enabling us to achieve our purpose of Belonging, Thriving and Winning.
The Membership Outbound Sales Officer is a 12 month, full time position. As a Membership Outbound Sales Officer, you will assist the membership sales and service generating the maximum number of membership sales throughout our busy retention and acquisition phases. The work will involve connecting with members and prospective members through outbound calls and emails, delivering positive and engaging experiences in line with our practices. You will play an important role in supporting the team’s sales and service activities, helping create meaningful interactions while consistently delivering a professional and customer-focused experience. As a Membership Outbound Sales Officer, you will also play a key role within the wider Customer & Technology team, with duties covering match/event days as directed by the Membership Sales Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Outbound Membership Sales - Conduct proactive membership sales and retention activities through phone and email, provide membership product information, resolve customer enquiries, identify upgrade opportunities, and contribute to achieving sales targets and team KPIs.
- Consumer Services - Deliver exceptional customer service to members, fans, and stakeholders, support membership sales and service activities at match days and events, uphold Child Safety standards, and assist with broader Customer & Technology department initiatives.
- Data Integrity - Maintain accurate and compliant member data records, collect additional customer insights to support segmentation projects, and ensure all information is managed in line with privacy legislation and Club policies.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Previous sales experience, preferably in membership or telephone sales, with a strong drive to achieve results.
- Relevant qualifications in Sport Administration or a related field, with strong organisational and time management skills.
- Experience using CRM systems, particularly Archtics, with excellent attention to detail.
- Knowledge of and passion for the AFL, supported by strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive, adaptable, and resilient approach, with initiative and a positive attitude.
- A commitment to delivering outstanding member and customer experiences.
